Tierra Del Sur

Tierra Del Sur is the largest of the new islands in the Caribbean that arose during the Great Calamity. It sits off the coast of Tierra del Norte de los Hispanosns to the east of former Honduras and Nicaragua and to the west of Jamaica. It was for many years territory of Tierra del Norte de los Hispanosns until 2331 where the Khazarian Empire conquered the island as well as Sur El Refugio to expand their dominance.
The island hosts a civilian population of roughly a hundred thousand which is spread out among numerous farming communities in the island’s interior along with five major towns such as Bloodtooth Den, Cyclone Cove, Blackhelm Bay and Dreadstorm anchorage which are all port towns where clipper ships may dock.
In the north-west is the major military town of Storm Haven. It possesses another population of one-hundred thousand which consists of the military garrison including soldiers, gunners and logistics personnel, the government capital as well as the aerodrome base which docks and services imperial and civilian airships. The airship engineers and support personnel are housed here as well, in civilian condominiums.
The island is a very busy location with military and civilian ships coming and going at all times. This isn’t an easy situation as the waters around the island have been infested with sea serpents and kraken. It’s a situation that’s been partially rectified due to the efforts of Clara Asheton and her crew of Lighting of the Sky along with some of her other ships such as the Night Pillager and the Roving Plunderer.

Sur El Refugio

The next largest of the new islands in the Caribbean is Sur El Refugio which sits south of the Dominican republic and former Venezuela which is now part of the empire. The island isn’t as heavily populated, with a population of sixty-thousand with a ten thousand man garrison. It is home to three major port towns such as Barnacle Bay, Buccaneer Anchorage and Galleon’s Rest.
Galleon’s Rest is also the location of the aerodrome where the airships may dock and be serviced as well as the military fortress there. The rest of the island is partially mountains along with trees and jungle vegetation along with farmlands to service the needs of the population. The waters around the island are likewise infested with sea serpents and kraken and need to be constantly patrolled with early warnings available to direct ships around from serpent pods that are swimming through the area to feed.

Devil's Arch

Devil’s Arch is a strategic island that sits along the major trade routes between Cuba and former Mexico. It’s an island that’s gained its name from the large rock archway that links between two sets of mountains and a lake on the northern side. The island used to be populated by people from Tierra del Norte de los Hispanosns, but was evacuated after Tierra del Sur was conquered.
The island’s topography is considerably different from other islands, containing numerous tall and sharp mountains as well as lakes, forests, jungle foliage and farmland that’s gone fallow. To the south-west is the remains of the one town and the small fortress garrison that are crumbling.
One can find numerous dirt trails where the population used to travel from place to place. There is a large, shallow lagoon which has a shipwreck from a pirate vessel that ran aground on the coral reefs during a storm. The island is currently coveted by the Caribbean Hegemony the Kahazarian Empire and Tierra del Norte de los Hispanosns, though no one has at the moment made any attempt to re-colonize the island.
